SME (General Insurance)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Corporate Sales / Business Development professional to drive business growth within the SME segment for our General Insurance Broking business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new corporate clients, building long-term relationships, and delivering customized insurance and risk management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition across the SME segment.
- Identify and onboard SME clients across multiple industries.
- Assess client risk profiles and recommend suitable General Insurance solutions.
- Coordinate with insurers for quotations, negotiations and policy placement.
- Build strong relationships with business owners, CFOs and key decision-makers.
- Achieve assigned premium, revenue and client acquisition targets.
- Collaborate closely with servicing, underwriting and claims teams.
- Maintain CRM, MIS reports and sales pipeline.
Experience & Skills
- 5–10 years of Corporate Sales / Business Development experience.
- Mandatory experience in General Insurance (Insurance Broker / Insurer).
- Strong exposure to SME Sales.
- Good understanding of Property, Marine, Liability, Engineering and Package Policies.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship management skills.
- Self-driven, target-oriented and comfortable with field sales.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Prior experience with an Insurance Broking firm.
- Existing SME client relationships in Mumbai.
- Ability to independently build and scale a profitable client portfolio.
